Bard Breivik (b. 1948) graduated from Bergen School of Arts and Crafts in 1970,
and St. Martin’s School of Art in London in 1971, where he studied under Anthony Caro.

At age 34, Breivik became a professor of sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in
Stockholm, where he stayed for three years until 1985. Since the 1970′s, he has
exhibited widely in galleries and museums across Europe and in New York.

His works are found in the collections of, among others, Moderna Museet, Stockholm,
The Art Museum of the Atheneum, Helsinki, Kunsthalle zu Kiel, Centro Cultural de Arte
Contemporaneo, Mexico City, and The National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in
Oslo, presented a major survey exhibition of Breivik′s work in 2005.
